This programme is designed for learners at this level: beginner. Work through demonstrations and practical exercises with Gregory, then apply the ideas to a guided project.

The nine live hours introduce and practise the core workflow. Allow time outside class to develop and refine your project; progress depends on your starting point and practice.

From understanding to application

Day 1

Build the foundation

  1. Session setup, audio preferences and project organisation
  2. Navigation, tracks and the arrangement workspace
  3. MIDI recording and software instruments
  4. Creating an initial musical sketch
Day 2

Develop the technique

  1. Audio recording and editing
  2. Developing sections and arranging a track
  3. Choosing sounds and layering parts
  4. Inserts, sends and effects routing
Day 3

Apply and review

  1. Balance, EQ and dynamics
  2. Automation and musical transitions
  3. Exporting a mix and organising project files
  4. Guided project review and next steps
Prepare for your sessions

What you’ll need

  • Logic Pro installed and tested before your first session.
  • A reliable internet connection and headphones or speakers.
  • A computer capable of running your chosen software and a live online call.
  • A compatible Mac for Logic Pro.
  • Software licences and equipment are arranged separately. Confirm the software edition, version and any additional tools with Gregory before purchasing anything for the course.
